Big Sister - aka - Sarobot

We had a blast this weekend with Sarah Catherine in town. We went to Camino Real for dinner Friday night. Ty had an early morning soccer game on Saturday. So it was off to Waffle House for breakfast afterwards. Ty created a new nickname for Sarah Catherine...Sarobot. We went our for pizza last night and headed to the Avenue for some birthday shopping. We celebrated Sarah Catherine's birthday over breakfast Sunday morning. Jon and the kids made Friendship Bread together. We all enjoyed the gorgeous weather while the kids played ball and drew with chalk on the driveway.

The Bryants Visit the Boro

We were so excited to have Ben, Kristen and Michael stay with us for a couple of days last week. Michael enjoyed Ty's large collection of trains.
Michael was totally enthralled by Ty. He was laughing hysterically at everything Ty did.

Ty was using Michael's video monitor to spy on the neighbors. He laid his head down on the table next to the monitor and Michael was yelling, "Wake ut, Ty!"

Ty kept climbing into the Pack-n-Play that Michael was using for a crib. Michael didn't want him getting into it and kept pulling Ty down with his super-strength.

Maggie wanted to take a bath with Michael. This is the best shot I got.

It was so wonderful getting to spend quality time with my great nephew. I hope I get to do it again soon. I just love him to pieces!

Football Time in Middle Tennessee

We took the kids to their first football game at MTSU. They had a blast cheering for the Blue Raiders. Maggie said she should be allowed on the field since she was a cheerleader! We got to visit with Uncle Scott at halftime, which the kids loved.

Tiny Dancer

Maggie started dance classes at Barfield School of Dance this week. The class is a combination of ballet, tap and jazz. I have no idea what they did in class because they don't allow parents in the studio. So all I have are these adorable pictures of her outside after class.

Back to School - Part 2

Ty started a new school today - Montessori Weaver School. Even though we loved St. Mark's Preschool, we believe MWS is a great opportunity for Ty that could not be passed up. When Maggie and I arrived to pick him up at 12:45, they were still eating lunch. They were sitting at tables with real tablecloths, eating with forks and spoons off of real plates and drinking from real glasses. It wasn't chaotic, just the opposite. Children were enjoying quiet conversation amongst themselves. It was quite impressive. Ty enjoyed doing the Montessori work, but he also had fun composting and cutting flowers from the garden for the classroom.

The Flash

Ty's first soccer game with The Flash was on Saturday, and it was so much fun to watch! They are playing with seven on the team - three on defense, three on offense and a goalie. Ty was on defense for the two quarters of the game that he played.

Here he is waiting for some action to make
its way to his end of the field.
Anyone????
Finally!

Ty didn't quite grasp the concept of defense. There's a lot of waiting around. Naturally, he grew tired of this. The next time the ball came his way, he ended up going the entire length of the field with the ball and scored the first goal!

SCORE!
I love seeing him so happy!

Here's Coach Meg reminding him that he is
playing defense and to get back to his spot!

Back to Soccer

Ty's so excited that it's finally soccer season. His team is called the Flash. Here is a glimpse at their first practice. I must say, they look a lot more promising than the Panthers in Augusta last spring. I guess we will see if that holds true at their first game on Saturday. Stay tuned...
